The nature reserve of Mas Larrieu (145 ha)

To the north of Argelès beach, the national nature reserve of Mas Larrieu is one of the last wild and natural sites on the Roussillon. plain and coastline.
Punctuated by scattered areas of woodland and reeds following the curve of the Tech River, the Reserve has managed to retain its natural aspect as well as its uniqueness on the biological front.
A visit will allow you to discover the varied landscape, created by the juxtaposition of different natural environments over a small surface of land: reeds prairies, dunes and tributaries of Tech.
You will be able to spot numerous birds such as the wading heron, black-headed gull, European bee-eater…
The area has been developed with a discovery trail, information boards, and a picnic area to make your visit all the more pleasant.
